 Yes, you are required to have a requisition for your blood work to be drawn . We also pick-up urine samples included on the requsition.

Yes, we do. The patient must be able to void themselves. You must have a requisition and we are able to do the blood collection within the same appointment. 

We do not take from catheters or assist in collections.

Fasting means you should not have anything to eat or drink for a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 14 hours before you have your blood drawn.

•      May I drink water? Yes, small amounts
•      Should I take my medication? Yes, unless your doctor tells you not to
•      May I drink juice, coffee, or tea? No, not even black coffee or tea
•      May I chew gum? No
•      May I smoke? No, it may affect test results
•      May I do my exercise routine? No, exercise can affect test results

All of the samples are analyzed in St Paul's Hospital or Regina General Hospital. Results are sent to the ordering physician and maybe cc'd to another doctor or specialist. 

Most results are reported within 24 hours from your initial visit (blood collection) 

In Saskatoon and Regina. 

For anyone outside of the city, the price will increase depending on the trip time. Please contact us for pricing. 

Cryoglobulin, *Glucose tolerance, and DNA, Ammonia, Blood gases, Homocysteine and ACTH for Saskatoon only.

 *Please Note the glucose tolerance test is a timed test and should not be booked near the end of the day.  

**Additional charges may be required due to the sensitivity of tests.
